Osteopathy is a form of hands-on healing where our focus is on restoring optimal function and healing capacity to the entire body, especially the area of concern. This includes careful consideration to maximise biomechanics, blood flow, nerve supply and lymph drainage for greater health. Osteopathy can benefit all age groups. Our Osteopathic management can be effective as the primary form of health care, or in addition to the care provided by a General Practitioner or other health professional. A referral is not necessary to see an Osteopath at Head 2 Toe Health.
At Head 2 Toe Health our Osteopaths are university trained and government registered and participate in ongoing professional education and skill development. Your Osteopath will take you through a thorough lifestyle and medical history to support us in understanding your needs and any causative and contributing factors towards your condition, and discuss how we can best support you in your management and overall health and wellbeing. Your Osteopath may perform standard medical testing such as blood pressure, if required, followed by a thorough Head 2 Toe musculo-skeletal assessment. We will discuss your proposed treatment and answer any questions you may have pertaining to your management.
Your Osteopath will provide a hands-on treatment including massage, manipulation and stretching to reduce and or eliminate your symptoms. We will work with you to identify and correct any underlying diet, ergonomic, postural, exercise or lifestyle factors that may be contributing to your symptoms or impairing your healing capacity.
